Homage to André Stolarski

The poster is a personal homage to the Brazilian designer André Stolarski. His first name is printed in different font sizes, indicated by the green numbers. Thus, it is possible to establish a direct connection between the typographic theory – and its nomenclature in points – and the printed matter. The ruler in centimeters helps the observer to assess the real dimensions of the characters. In this sense, the poster works as a practical tool to help designers in their daily tasks, such as choosing the best font size to its final dimensions in the printed medium.
