SESC Arts Festival

SESC - The Social Service of Commerce

Description

Mostra SESC de Artes 2010 is an annual Arts Festival that emphasises the contemporary production, presenting over 50 national and international projects – among shows, interventions, workshops and installations – and takes place in 15 SESC units and urban locations in the city of São Paulo. The curatorial proposal of the festival is also reflected on its visual identity and communication pieces: “a necessary discomfort, a sudden nuisance.” The set of logos generated by the connection of all participating units in the city unfolds in varied spheres, triggering a glimpse from different angles, confronting the audience with oddness of shapes, crops and perspectives. The catalogue is composed by three different volumes, each one with different format and content: texts, projects and images. The volumes are joined by a rubber band, and can be rearranged by the reader, gaining different forms.
